WREATHS LAYING AND SHOWING RESPECT

On the occasion of remembering October 14 Day of Nis liberation and 70 years from Nis liberation in the Second World War at the Memorial ossuary burial place of Bulgarian soldiers, that is constructed in 1948 in Ledena Stena settlement in the memory of the killed soldiers in finishing operations of fight against German soldiers in the territory of SFRJ, delegations of Bulgarian Union of military veterans , Embassy of Republic of Bulgaria in Belgrade- General consulate in Nis, Palilula Municipality –Nis laid wreaths. In the name of Palilula Municipality, wreaths were laid by Aleksandar Zdrale vice president of the Assembly and Dragana Gavrilovic, chief of the  Presidential cabinet.

With city support and also Palilula Municipality support, Institute for monument protection in Nis, in 2005 constructed the project of restoration and conservation of this memorial place. Some of the works were already in that period completed according to interstate agreement  and in the cooperation with Ministry of defense of the Republic of Serbia. Palilula Municipality –Nis has realized very complex activities with Bulgarian cities: Svoge, Custendil, Bobov Dol, Botevgrad, Ihtiman, Berkovica within the programme of neighborhood cooperation of Serbia – Bulgaria.
